I fell down on doing what I was supposed to do–participate in the The Blog Hop Spot’s Purrfectly Giftastic Christmas. This is very unlike me. I am so very, very sorry.
I could blame my oversight on so many things. Let me name them.
- A bevy of house repairs has been inundating me lately. Money, money, money and attention out the door.
- I am on the side of the Grinch. The holidays aren’t my thing, so I tend to put them off to the last moment. That shopper on Christmas Eve? That’s me. Be kind. We have emotional issues about this time of year.
- My calendar on my computer reverted back to another year, making my days all messed up.
- Did I mention that I hate this time of year?
Putting all that aside, I am still giving away two $10 gift certificates to Amazon.com. Just leave a comment about anything. I can’t be choosy after being so late.
I am a very busy author lately, which means that I can’t even think of a real post at this moment. Here’s what I’m offering: One winner will get a copy of my latest release Risque Poses along with a $20 Amazon.com gift card; five others will get a copy of Risque Poses. All you have to do is tell me your favorite scary monster. I’ll pull the six winners randomly on October 30th! You have until the end of the day on Oct. 29th to comment.
What’s your favorite scary monster?
And click on the button above to see all the other blog participants!
The Winner by random number generator is Fiona! I’ve emailed you. Email me back. Congratulations!
Welcome to my part of the 4th of July Blog Hop. I’m giving away a copy of Behaving Badly, my new release from The Wild Rose Press, and a $15 Amazon.com gift card. (click the graphic to go back to the blog hop home page)
I tend to ask a question of those wanting a chance to win what I’m giving away. I’ll be with family for Independence Day, and I have no idea what we’ll be doing. I have memories of going to our town’s square (Yep, it had one!) to listen to music and enjoy food before settling down on top of my parent’s car to watch the fireworks over the water. So, that leads me to my question:
What do you like doing most on Independence Day?
(I’ll close the comments at midnight on the 4th of July if I am awake. Central time, because it is where I live. Comment away.)
I’m knee deep in writing another story, this one with a cop and a vet returned from Iraq, all set in New Orleans. I might venture away from this beloved city, but it’s so perfect for steaminess. There’s the mighty Mississippi running through the Big Easy, giving us life in the form of industry and danger in the form of floods. There’s the food. There’s the music. There’s the people, funky, creative, passionate. Oh, there’s some dirt. Some of it piled so high and stuck so badly in the corners that I wonder if we’ll ever clean it. Yet, it’s my city, my adopted home. I’m gonna stay here for as long as I can.
I always like to ask a question for Blog Hops, so here is the one for the Rebel Ink hop celebrating the year’s releases. I’ll randomly pick a comment to receive a copy of my story Basically Bad.
New Orleans: Why do you love it, like it or hate it?
